The wish list was extensive for this client project but as soon as the client set eyes on the Lateral Larder Pantry Unit in our showroom, this was at the top of the ‘must-have’ list of requirements for this kitchen. It’s innovative lateral opening doors allow you unimpeded access to the interior, whilst exquisite details like sliding shelves, storage jars and grain hoppers make best use of available space.
An AGA was also near the top of the list as the main cooking appliance with a Miele Combi Steam Oven, a wall mounted Miele microwave and ‘sous chef’ warming drawer providing additional methods of cooking. Other appliances included twin integrated dishwashers and a Boiling Water Tap with the facility of both chilled still and sparkling water.
With the overall size of the kitchen 9.8m x 4.9m, a large island, incorporating a pull up power socket, was ideal to give the client plenty of work surface for food preparation and servery. The specification for the island was a taller than standard height, which allowed for plenty of drawer/storage space. A barrel unit was sited on one corner with a solid oak/maple chequerboard chopping block to soften the overall shape. Curved pilasters were on the remaining three corners of the island with an open pot base unit sited diagonally across from the barrel.
Part of the client brief was to create an adaptation of the wine storage in their previous home, encompassing reclaimed bricks, a Sub-Zero free-standing fridge freezer with bespoke wine storage either side for the clients fine wine collection.
Highly skilled craftsmen, time honoured cabinet making skills and a variety of materials combine to give a truly unique style & finish to this furniture range. For this particular client, a colour mix of Pavilion Grey and Hague Blue painted furniture worked beautifully with an element of oak trims.
As you will see from the full portfolio of images, our design team not only fulfilled the client brief given but incorporated many other fabulous features to make this a truly stunning kitchen for our clients. Look out for the finer detail such as the mouse hole in the plinth, engraved oak chopping boards for specific food groups and pull out oak trays incorporated into the Island.

Having moved into our beautiful new home last year, the only thing that Helen wanted to change was the kitchen. The existing kitchen was too modern for her taste and having already had the delight of an Edwin Loxley kitchen, Helen was set on having another one and couldn’t wait for Graham & Ciaran to get to work on the design.
The wish list was extensive…..the stunning larder unit was a definite, along with an area allocated for wine storage, both of which have created two of the main focal points within the kitchen. The others being the expanse of kitchen island to create extensive worktop space and the detailed mantel over the AGA. Having previously experienced the design expertise of Raycross Interiors, along with their attention to detail and very personal level of service, we knew it would result in a dream kitchen and we were not disappointed.
The quality of the craftsmanship is clear to see and the kitchen is a sheer joy, not only visually, but more importantly to utilise.
All the work that Raycross Interiors have carried out has always been to an exceptional standard and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services.
