The evening of Tuesday 30th April saw the world renowned Master Chef Michel Roux cook live in the showroom of Raycross Interiors, Byfleet Village. This truly unique event raised over £5000 for Michel’s chosen charity – The Nicholls Foundation.
Over 120 guests attended the event with Michel captivating his audience with his charm, wit and awe inspiring Master Chef skills. Champagne flowed throughout the invitation only event and guests delighted in many mouth-watering canapés prepared by Michel from 7.00 pm until 9.45 pm.
It was a great pleasure to partake in the fabulous evening at Raycross Interiors to help raise much needed funds for the Nicholls Foundation. I had immense fun preparing my dishes and meeting the guests and could not have wished for a better equipped kitchen than that provided by the Cross family at Raycross Interiors - it really is an impressive family run business and worth a visit to see the latest in bathroom and kitchen design.
Karmal Gent and Caroline Bennfors both won the unique opportunity to assist Michel during the two cookery demonstrations which saw Michel dish up the delights of a Souffle au Chocolate Noir and a Warm Oyster Gratinee & Spaghetti of Courgette with a hint of Curry. In between cookery demonstrations, Michel chatted with guests and signed copies of his latest cookbook 'The Collection'.
The evening concluded with Michel drawing the winning tickets to the Raffle, with one lucky guest – Mike Tibbotts – winning the 1st prize of lunch for 2 at the famous three-star Michelin Restaurant, The Waterside Inn, Bray. Many other fabulous prizes were also on offer, kindly donated by many local businesses.
